Be Intentional
You’ll find me here every morning while it’s still dark. My journal, pen and cup of coffee are by my side as I nestle into the window seat. It’s in the quiet that I can hear His voice and not the chatter of the world. I take a moment to write whatever is in my heart and on my mind. It’s here that I find my place, my peace, and ground myself. The world can be chaotic but in those moments that I dedicate to the Lord, there is one constant. He always show up. When I leave the window seat, I am always better than how I started.
Every year I talk about journaling and carving out time to spend with Lord. If you want to buy a journal from The Marketplace, great. But if you don’t, that’s great too. Just journal. Be intentional. I have had people say, “Marisa, I don’t know what to write.” That’s ok. Don’t write anything. Maybe you should just take the time to sit. That’s it. As you do this every day, my guess is you will start writing. Why? I don’t know about you but God has a lot of things to say to me and sometimes I have to write really fast to keep up. What you end up writing may surprise you. Make this the year that you become intentional.
