Being a Christian is a full time job

“I am not a Pastor 24 hours a day. This is my personal Facebook account and I should be able to write what I want when I am not ‘on the clock!’” On the clock?!?! What does that even mean?

Being a Christian is a full time job. You have to battle your tongue and it’s really important you win more than your tongue. I often laugh that some people act like they are in a cafeteria. I would like to receive some grace and mercy but let’s hold the need to extend grace and mercy.  So many people get caught up on making sure they memorize scripture that they forget to live it out. I have found people watching how I live my life carries more weight than if I tell people how I live my life.

Being a Christian is a full time job and for some people you might be the only Jesus they encounter today. Stop. Read that again. And let me just say, our hurting world needs Jesus more than ever. Let’s head into this week hoping to get the best job performance review ever.
