Early on in the life of The Marketplace, I made a pact that I would not have endless meetings “figuring out” what we were going to do. This is what I call analysis paralysis. That’s when you don’t have all the pieces, you don’t do anything until you do, and you eat a lot of doughnuts while you talk about it. If I waited for all the pieces and knew what the heck I was doing before I did anything, I would STILL be thinking about starting The Marketplace. When you follow God, you don’t have to have it all figured out before you start. He has it all figured out and you are on a “need to know” basis. He will tell you when you need to know! If God told me everything about The Marketplace before we started 2 things could have happened. Either I would lay down because the entire project is overwhelming or I would scream and go running out of the room because the entire project is overwhelming!
Yesterday I was listening to my friend Pastor Cha Cha’s sermon in Kenya and he said it beautifully. “Every miracle begins with the simple act of obedience. We may not see the solution until we take the 1st step.” If God has placed a dream in your heart, move forward. If God has asked you to do something for someone, move forward. If God is asking you to do something crazy, move forward. He is trust worthy. Actually in this crazy world, He truly is the only One you can trust. So guys, jump into this week with both feet and move forward.
