Thai Iced Coffee

Thai Iced Coffee

Interesting fact, coffee is one of the most actively traded commodities in the world. I am not gonna lie, I love coffee. But I am extra passionate about ours. Why?  Because all of our coffee is direct trade. There is no middle man profiting at the expense of the farmers. The ugly reality is small farmers often are paid a pittance while the middle man, who purchases from many small farmers, sells it to a larger organization, and makes quite a profit. That’s why we partner with Hemisphere Coffee Roasters and Singing Rooster. They buy directly from the farmers and play a role in community development. Not to mention that their coffee is amaaazzzzing! So if you haven’t checked out our coffee, give it a try. I can help you find the right blend. We have light, medium, and dark roast. We also have decaf and flavored coffees. Our most popular? It’s a toss up between Jungle Nut and Jamaican Me Crazy!  Pair it with a mug ,a coffee spoon, and you have a great gift.

Many of you who follow us on Stories have seen me talking about my Thai Iced Coffee and some of you who have come here and shopped the webstore have tried it. I get asked for this recipe often so here it is. It is super simple, plus I don’t have to leave my house and I didn’t pay $6 for it!  You can start with any of our coffees. I make 6 ounces of very strong coffee. Then I add 1/4 cup of condensed milk and 1/3 cup of whatever milk you like. Throw some ice in it, grab a book, head outside with your dog to you favorite chaise lounge, and just take 30 minutes to enjoy your iced coffee. With each sip, know that you are empowering a coffee farmer and taking a moment to enjoy summer.
