Thank You for Your Service
- As I have traveled the world over, I never get tired of hearing, “Welcome Home” when I enter the United States. I am a military kid who lived abroad while my dad served in Vietnam. My family has sacrificed for our country and my dad was proud to serve. He taught us that we should never take for granted the freedom we have because they came at a huge cost. My dad taught us to respect the flag and our leadership even if we didn’t always agree with them. It was our duty to vote and if our candidate didn’t win, we needed to fall in line and respect the person in that position. As Americans, we are one. Today please remember those who made the greatest sacrifice, their life to protect our freedom. They were someone’s dad, mom, brother, sister, child, aunt, uncle, or cousin. On behalf of the staff of The Marketplace, we would like to thank all military personnel for their service. To all of the fallen, you are not forgotten.
