They Will Know You by Your Fruit
The last few months my soul has been weary. I have witnessed short tempers, ugly words on social media, and just downright disrespectful behavior between people. If my soul is weary, I wonder what God thinks? Every morning I sit with the Lord, discuss the state of affairs, and each time I come away with the same words. “They will know you by your fruit.” It doesn’t matter if you post the blacked out screen on your feed, if you don’t bear good fruit. It doesn’t matter if you try to bully someone into your way of thinking, if you don’t bear good fruit. This truly is a personal journey that honestly needs to be, well, personal. It starts with sitting before the Lord and being truly honest and open. On social media, you can be anyone you want to be. But before God, He sees your heart. You can’t hide. You can’t possibly have a close relationship with the Lord and hate people. I have learned for change to be lasting it has to start from within. I don’t need to tell people about Jesus, I need to show them by my actions. “They will know you by your fruit.” Today take a moment to look at your fruit, what condition is it in?
