Wait... WHAT?!?!

Wait... WHAT?!?!

Wait, where is The Rolling Shack going?!?!
With God, He whispers an idea. Then He begins to develop it. I sit with my journal and write. It starts with, “Lord, I can’t do this. It doesn’t make sense.” It moves to, “I really can’t do this.” It ends with, “Lou, we need to do this.”
We sensed a few months ago that God was ending our Rolling Shack season. We have had her for 6 years. With Covid, we had 1 show in February before we went into lockdown. As show after show was cancelled, our online community increased their ordering. Our following grew and our sales continued to grow. God whispered, “The season is over.” In August as I was pulling orders trying to keep up, I quickly realized if we had the truck going there would have been no way to keep up.
God started planting new dreams and I kept thinking there is no way I can add any more to my plate. Then the whisper again, “The season is over.” I immediately recognized this was the same whisper as the season is over for our storefront. We closed our store March 2019 to focus more online and 1 year later NC went into lockdown. What I know is this, I can only see the present but God can see the future. While I love our artisans, He loves them so much more than I ever could. We put The Rolling Shack on the market the beginning of November and Lou said we need to remove all of our custom displays and take the logo off. Wait- you are getting too crazy Lou. In my mind, I would put her on the market if she didn’t sell I would take her out again next year. Lou asked me, “Did you hear from God?” Yes. “Then act like it.”  So Lou began dismantling the displays. 2 days later we had an offer on the truck. 3 weeks later, she was being driven away.
Many people often say to me, “ I wish I heard from the Lord like you do.” God speaks to each of us if we are willing to be still and listen. But I often find the bigger question is are you willing to do what He asks you to do? I am excited for our new season! Stay tuned!
