At The Marketplace, we are all about the journals and I have to say- we are all about these! These journals are wrapped in beautiful kitenge fabric- we love how the fabric is so bright and vibrant! Each journal has 95 pages of LINED paper. On the front is a stamped leather plaque. It has a word in Kinyarwanda, the language of our artisans in Rwanda. On the inside is the American translation, the DuHope story, and the artisan's signature. We have 3 journals available in this collection; Empower, Joy, and Peace. We had them create Empower just for us because this is the group that launched our Empowerment Project last year! This would make a great gift.

Selling her body for less than a dollar per client, the women at DuHope were desperate. Lacking education and job skills, the only asset these women could see was selling their own bodies to survive. DuHope was created to provide opportunity for Rwandan women to exit sex work. They currently have 11 women in artisan training that have a desire to take their skills to the next level. They create a safe and holistic way for women to exit sex work while walking alongside them in faith, hope, love, and dignity.
