Daugens Accessory Bag by Vi Bella from Haiti

$20.00

I met Daugens when I was in Haiti. I wanted to design a backpack and they told me he could do anything. I walked over with a drawing and within a few hours he handed me a porotype. Daugens is deaf and blind in one eye. At that moment I renamed him Rock Star! Such incredible talent. Made out of cotton and waxed canvas, this accessory bag is the perfect size to keep you organized! The Daugens is fully lined ans has 2 small pockets inside

Dimensions: 4.25 x 9 inches

Many of you might know the sewing side of Vi Bella. How? The artisans were once known as Three Cords. In 2017, they have now joined forces!

Vi Bella, meaning ‘beautiful life’, impacts the lives of at risk women within Haiti, Mexico and the United States. These women serve as artists and inspiration within their communities. Utilizing plastic and glass bottles collected by local boys, women in Haiti and Mexico upcycle the material and transform a littered landscape into beautiful jewelry. Vi Bella has also branched out into recycled steel drum in the last couple of years and the talent of these men is phenomenal!
