In 2016, I hopped on a plane and headed to El Alto Bolivia to design our 1st collection with SutiSana. As I was leaving the leather shop I looked up and saw the most amazing hide I had ever seen. It was dyed a crazy blue. I looked at Cara the Co-Founder of Sutisana and said, "What if we took a Funky Road Trip?" And that is how this bag came to be! She is the number 1 selling bag in The Marketplace.
Back by popular demand, we brought back the Funky Road Trip in Blue Stone! This color has been a Marketplace favorite. It always sells out!
Each tote has a beautiful hair on hide on the front and a coordinating blue suede on the back. She has soft leather handles in a rich chocolate. The strap has a fall of 11 inches. This allows your bag to feel great on your shoulder even if you have on a coat! There is a magnetic snap closure that is on hair on hide tabs. I am telling you, the attention to detail is amazing. Inside she has a zippered pocket using a YKK zipper, the best in the business. This zipper will not break on you! The pocket is made out of the same hide that is in the front of your bag! When we designed her, we thought of everything so you don’t have to!

SutiSana provides dignified employment and a new life for women attempting to leave prostitution in El Alto, Bolivia. Many of these vulnerable women had little education, were the only provider in their home, and had no viable alternative to prostitution. Thanks to SutiSana they are able to live a prosperous and meaningful life. The name SutiSana has its roots in the two languages spoken by the women- Aymara and Spanish. In Aymara, Suti means name and in Spanish, Sana means healthy or healed.
