Medium Kantha Stitched Makeup Bag by Asha Project from India

$10.00

I love recycled sari fabrics. They are so unique, beautiful, and add the right pop of color to your life! Introducing the kantha stitched sari makeup bag. Kantha stitching is the art of hand stitching recycled saris together. The result is a one of a kind treasure. Each makeup bag is lined in canvas and has a flat bottom. This allows it to expand and hold more things!  When they said we make small decorative balls out of recycled sari, I was like "yes please!" They look beautiful in a bowl, in a vase, or on our white wash mango wood oval tray from India. Each bag  provide 3 hours of work.

Dimensions: 4 x 9 inches

Asha Project was created with a vision to empower women in India to help break the cycle of poverty that has a hold on their families and communities. It is led by women who themselves started out as a member. Asha Project not only wants to teach women how to be empowered, but also how to empower other women.

Empowering people. Changing lives.
