Candle and Mug by Prodigal Pottery from Alabama

$34.00

I love collaborations and this makes me so happy! Prodigal Pottery and Community Naturals from Alabama joined forces to create this beautiful new product. I am affectionately calling it the Cug. Get it? Candle and Mug, Cug!

Prodigal Pottery handcrafted this beautiful olive branch pendant mug. They then passed it off to Community Naturals to hand pour a Sea Salt and Orchid soy candle in it. I love that you get to enjoy the candle and once that is over, you then get to enjoy using the mug!

Sea Salt & Orchid: this sweet and salty candle has the calming effects of jasmine and sweet cream. Note Profile: Salt, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Green Leaves, Wood, and Tonka Bean

The mug is designed to hold 10 ounces and is microwave/dishwasher safe. The candle has a 45-55 hour burn time.

How to remove the wax from your mug: Use a spoon to remove as much wax as you can. Pour hot water into the mug, leaving room at the top. The hot water will melt the wax and it will float to the top. Let the water cool and remove the wax. Strain the water to get rid of any small wax bits. (Don’t pour wax down the drain.) Scrape any remaining wax and clean with soap and water.

King's Home is home and safe haven to over 50 women who are seeking hope and restoration from pasts riddled with abuse and homelessness. When King's Home was donated an industrial kiln and pottery supplies, the dream to create jobs for the women of King's Home became a reality. Since Prodigal Pottery started in 2014, the women, many who are working on their GED's, grow in their basic job skills. As they have learned how to roll clay, “love” any imperfections, paint, tag and inventory pottery, they are also creatively solving problems and developing relationships in the workplace.  Thank you for purchasing their beautiful pottery.

 Empowering people. Changing lives.
