Let's talk fabric. In 2014, I was in Rajpur India visiting JOYN. Melody, the Director of JOYN said, "I need to show you something." We drove through the busy streets and once we parked I stepped through the gates of a community. It felt like I stepped into a sanctuary. I was in a leprosy colony started by a friend of Mother Teresa's. I got the opportunity to meet the artisans and watch them create the fabric from a puff of raw cotton all the way to weaving it on a big loom. It was absolutely incredible. Fast forward 9 years and the leprosy colony is now closed but JOYN found the last of their handmade linen fabric. They took this very special fabric and paired it with camel colored leather to create the Found Collection.
Let's talk construction. This bag has a snap AND zippered closure. The handles are padded and the perfect length to carry on your forearm or wear on your shoulder. I also love the detailing of the handle and how it has a cut out where the it meets the bag along with a sewn leather tab on one handle on the front of the bag and on the opposite side on the back. There is an adjustable and detachable strap so you have a custom fit. The bag also has feet, you all know how much I love feet on a bag!
The inside of the bag is fully lined with block printed fabric. There are 3 pockets, one being zippered.
